Supadance
This interview started really well! First Matthew told us that he thinks that all the Dutch are crazy! Matthew and Nicole danced in the Netherlands many times and like it very much. And then he explains that they love the way the Dutch audience gets the 'warming-up' until they totally 'raise the roof' like nowhere else!
Later, as the photo session continues, Matthew himself goes completely crazy and 'raises the roof', is it than really infectious?! They are both such natural and spontaneous people who you can talk to for hours.
As amateurs, Matthew and Nicole won the Grand slam-series (World Championships, European, UK Open, International and Blackpool) in one year. The same year as they turned professional they danced the finals and in 2003 reached the 2nd place in the European Championships. They were one of the main stars in the great dance show 'Burn the Floor' and travelled with this show, with a whole group of dancers the whole world. This show is available on the DVD and absolutely worth the money! Conclusion: a multi-purpose and all-round couple in the Latin scene!

Biggest nightmare

Matthew: "That everything goes wrong in a show. Dreadfully wrong!"
Nicole:"That I am totally alone in the world."

Nicest memory

Matthew:"Too many to pick one! I enjoy my time everywhere. Ask Nicole about the real high points. She knows much better!!!"
Nicole:"Dancing in the show 'Burn the Floor' was fantastic. Travelling around the world was great and wherever we came people were so enthusiastic. It was such a fantastic, unforgettable and unique experience. And naturally, winning the world championships as amateurs and my wedding day. But what Matthew says is true. Wherever we are, we see and experience unique things and if you can enjoy them, isnt it really fantastic?"

Biggest inspiration

Nicole: "Kylie Minogue and Justin Timberlake. No doubt possible!"
Matthew: "Oh, me again! Its difficult to choose! I dont have anyone specific really. Oh yes, simply, a normal person who has a talent and uses it, makes a good example."

Biggest blunder

Matthew: "This has nothing to do with making choices because I can't remember any big blunders. Nothing comes to mind, really I cannot remember any!"
Nicole: "This is indeed difficult. Oh yes, we had to give a rock & roll show once. And everything what could go wrong went wrong, really. Yes, it really was a blunder!"

Biggest wish

Both: "Be happy now and in the future!"
