Respect for the competition, the organizer, the fellow dancers

9. května 2008 12:45

Have you noticed the dancer's behaviour during competitions ?

1.  the mess in the change rooms,  blocking all walkways with bags, luggage, the sun- tan spray, sun tan foundations and hairspray on floors, walls even on the clean garments which happened to be hung in the direction of the spray.

2.  the washrooms, toilets clogged with tissues with sun-tan products, blocking outlet of natural body by-products,  and for God sake do not ever try to flush the mess pr you need build an Noah's Arch.

3. The incredible mess on the walk ways around the  dance floors.

The spilled coke,  water deliberately poured on the floors, carpets by "Latin" dancers,  who require more traction than the unfortunate Standard dancers, who can trip and get hurt if their cleaned soles get too much grip on the dance floor during a slide in QuickStep.

Have you not seen the dancers trying to do their last minutes stretches in the filthy floors,  not even paying attention their beautiful gowns are picking up all the dirt, during their splits etc ?

4. How about the dancers sitting on the raisers ?   Dropping food,  banana peels,  leaning over that open cup or a bottle of drink,  tipping it over and letting other to step, sit in it ?

Have you looked at the bottom of your dance shoes lately during a competition.  If they could talk they would tell you  how little respect  you and others have for the competition  and for fellow dancers.

Why not act during competitions the way you would act in your own house ?
